Peter JonesMCA were retained by millionaire entrepreneur Peter Jones in March 2004, to handle ongoing media and public relations for both Peter and his stable of companies.

Peter approached MCA after he was asked to take part in a brand new television series for BBC2 – Dragon’s Den.  Although already a high profile figure within the telecommunications industry, Peter was relatively unknown outside this area.  MCA were tasked with building Peter’s profile within the mainstream media.

Peter went to become one of the most popular figures of the Dragon’s Den series and the most instantly recognisable ‘Dragon’.   In 2004, MCA introduced Peter to Simon Cowell and together they took their co-produced show American Inventor to the ABC network.  The show aired in Spring 2006 with Peter starring as a judge as well as co-producer.  It was instant hit, achieving record ratings for the network and was instantly recommissioned.  The show is now on its third series in the US and was recently aired in the UK on Virgin 1.

Over the last two years Peter has dramatically diversified his business interests to include leisure, property, publishing and entertainment.  In 2007 his television company Peter Jones TV created Tycoon for ITV1 – the first ‘business entertainment’ show for the channel.   He also released a book of the same name – a part autobiographical business guide with Peter’s top tips for entrepreneurial success and his business philosophy.

MCA’s other work with Peter included launching Wonderland Magazine and Reggae Reggae Sauce – two of the successful investments from Dragon’s Den, and handling the intense media scrutiny surrounding Peter’s takeover of Red Letter Days.  In just under four years, MCA’s work helped to make Peter a household name and generated several million pounds worth of press coverage.
